About The Role

Role Overview

proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Senior Production Engineer to be a key part of our Egham team, representing proAV. The Senior Production Engineer will be a hybrid role primarily based at our Engineering Hub and will work alongside the Production Team whilst also orchestrating off-site works.

You must possess good technical knowledge and experience in assembling and troubleshooting AV racks and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices. As a Senior Production Engineer, you will play an important role in maintaining efficient and reliable rack installations while ensuring the highest level of quality and safety, providing guidance and support to junior team members.

You will supervise all field operations, leading their execution personally through liaising with project managers or coordinating resources through agencies depending on resource and workflow.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Senior Production Engineer to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembling and wiring racks according to specifications and guidelines
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to rack installations.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of rack inventory.
  • Being able to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where multiple rack build projects may be ongoing simultaneously.
  • Be a point of contact for project managers regarding any and all site work which you will be expected to fill yourself, or where possible arrange resource through AV agencies to meet demands.
  • Provide leadership and guidance, setting an example to the rest of the team.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of professionalism and attention to detail by consistently creating organised and visually appealing rack installations.
  • Collaborate with Production Managers participating in the development and implementation of new processes.
  • Training and mentoring junior production engineers and technicians.
  • Pre-prepare cables for upcoming systems.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

  • Act as a role model for other production engineers offering support to junior technicians

  • Co-ordination with internal departments to get a clear understanding of projects and troubleshoot any rack related queries.

  • Ensure racks are uniform when working with the team on identical systems
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in rack technology
