About The Role

Role Overview

proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

Our immediate requirement is for an experienced AV Manager to be a key part of our London team, representing proAV and working onsite, taking full responsibility for acting as the main customer liaison and ambassador for proAV, overseeing the overall management of AV and event service deliverables. Lead and manage a team of onsite technicians, event leads, and contractors as needed, ensuring a professional, organized environment that consistently exceeds client expectations. Always presentable and able to engage with senior executives in a calm and professional manner. Capable of multitasking, working under pressure, and meeting strict deadlines.

One of many openings available at proAV (who have over 500 team members globally), this position is based within our end user’s organisation who continue to invest in state-of-the-art technologies, services, and training.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced AV Manager to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the AV and Events operation and service deliverables.
  • Direct leadership of a team of onsite technicians, events leads and contractors when required.
  • Resource management, provide weekly rota’s including holiday/sickness cover and ensure resourcing levels onsite are optimised for task driven allocation.
  • Efficient planning to ensure services are scaled to meet business requirements.
  • Fully manage incident and problem management processes, initiating SOPs to mitigate future issues where needed.
  • Conduct and document regular 1 to 1 meeting with direct reports for continuous personal development.

  • Service improvements should be documented, and remediation plans implemented.
  • Liaise with other proAV departments to gain an understanding of operational processes.
  • Full management and reporting on location and usage of critical spares.
  • Ability to provide workarounds in the event of equipment failure.
  • Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required.
  • Provide audio visual support to other areas of the business when required.
  • Proactively train and support end users as required.
  • Monthly presentations to the client summarising performance against contract deliverables to include preventative measures in the event of any performance issues.
  • Responsible for reporting key data to the team for KPI analysis.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports to the client account manager as required.
  • To ensure services are delivered in line with client Policies (CSR/Environmental/Security) & strategies.
  • Ensuring all works are carried out in line with client / proAV HSE requirement.
  • Support ads/ moves/changes (small works) on-site.
  • Support and monitor the quality of the services delivered via the technology deployed.
  • Overview of setup/operation of integrated events spaces including high profile auditorium-based results presentations and town halls.
  • To ensure all break/fix activities are carried out under the contracted terms and within the agreed SLA’s.
  • Innovations - provide new ideas around technology and ways of working.
  • Support and understand the contract P&L.
  • Advanced level knowledge of excel & PowerPoint.
  • Ensure to manage the OT/TOIL process, and make sure agreed time off is pre-approved.
  • Mentor and Identify skills gaps, administer a skills matrix, and provide training support.
