About The Role

Role Overview

proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Events and AV Support Technician to be a key part of our London team, representing proAV and working onsite.

One of many openings available at proAV (who have over 500 team members globally), this position is based within our end user’s organisation who continue to invest in state-of-the-art technologies, services, and training.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Events & AV Support Technician to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report into AV Team Leader on a day-to-day basis.
  • Be customer focused with strong ability to deal with individuals on all levels in a friendly, welcoming and helpful manner.
  • Provide real time in room support for AV / UC related issues.
  • Fault handling and tracking of all AV related fault tickets raised via SNOW through to resolution.
  • Track and manage all AV / Event requests via Freshserve & AV mailbox.
  • Troubleshoot AV and UC related technology issues.
  • Locate faults or problems and provide solutions on a first /second line basis as well as work around, if problem is critical.
  • Ensure all equipment faults and requests are reported via onsite procedures.
  • Complete room checks (as per service levels).
  • 1st line support for Google Meets (and ticket ownership).
  • 30 hours video production/post production per week.
  • Immediate support for Gold areas as per specification.
  • Porterage as required.
  • Support TV distribution/wayfinding and CDN platform.
  • Manage equipment repairs and implement critical spares as required.
  • Provide a meet & greet service as required to assist all VIP meetings and for clients who require a technician to help connect audio and video (virtually and in room as required).
  • Generate daily reports and contact VIP clients to establish full nature of meeting & requirements equipment / meeting room set ups as required.
  • Provide support on an individual basis to users at all levels of seniority on audio visual equipment, connectivity and applications where appropriate.
  • Direct & manage all onsite events within large presentation spaces.
  • Work closely with offsite events team to ensure all event requirements are captured and managed effectively for both onsite and offsite events throughout as required.
  • Provide white glove service that manages technical logistics for large complex events, Town halls, special events, and VIP’s video meeting.
  • Conduct planning meetings with client event organisers to ensure the correct technology is being used, leading to successful meetings/events.
  • Work with vendors for AV rental and staging of events.
 

Hours of work

40 hours per week, 9 hours a day on a rotational shift basis between 7am-7pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday-Friday.
