About The Role

Role Overview

proAV are a leading global audio-visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Crestron Programmer to be a key part of our Egham team, representing proAV, taking full responsibility for designing and developing audio visual applications and to coordinate with the rest of the team on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and quality product is essential. As part of the role, you will be required to attend client sites for testing and development.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Programmer to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

The position will essentially develop into a C# role, but the key requirement is for a candidate with a strong understanding of Crestron programming and audio-visual integration.

Experience and seniority of the position will be reflected by the remuneration and benefits package.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain effective, reusable and reliable code.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Ability to write clean, readable and well commented code.
  • Understand fundamental design principles behind scalable applications and implement them into designs.
  • Manage and maintain documentation.
  • Work within a multi-discipline team to deploy end-to-end solutions.
 

Key skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of Crestron Certified Programmer status
  • A good understanding of network protocols

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Strong understanding of Audio-Visual system architectures

  • Experienced with Crestron Simpl Windows
  • Understanding of data networks

 

Desirable skills

  • Experience in C# .NET Framework
  • Knowledge of the Angular Framework

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
